Plix Privacy Policy
Who operates Plix
Plix is operated from Singapore. Questions or data requests can be sent to privacy@plix.camera.
Data we collect
Depending on the features you use, Plix processes your account email and user ID; profiles and routing choices; photos, filenames, checksums, capture times, and delivery status; purchase and entitlement information; optional precise location evidence; and optional voice notes, transcripts, captions, and tags. Diagnostic records use request, asset, and job identifiers and are designed not to contain email addresses, credentials, signed file URLs, or photo contents.
How we use data
We use this data to authenticate you, route captures to destinations you choose, prevent duplicate delivery, provide recovery and proof features, process purchases, operate support, secure the service, and improve reliability. Plix does not sell personal data or use your photos, voice notes, or location for advertising.
Photos and retention
Photos routed only to iOS Photos remain on your device and in your Apple Photos library. Cloud-routed files are staged privately while delivery completes. Delivered staging objects are normally deleted after seven days. Terminal delivery failures are normally deleted after 30 days. Eligible Pro Recovery Vault originals are retained for 90 days. Delivered files in destinations such as Google Drive remain under your control.
Voice and location
Plix requests location only when you explicitly enable location evidence for a profile. Approved voice notes are uploaded privately for transcription and deleted after successful transcription, or within 24 hours after a terminal processing failure. Plix does not perform facial recognition.
Service providers
Plix uses Supabase for authentication, database, and private object storage; Railway for API hosting; Inngest for background workflow coordination; RevenueCat and Apple for subscription processing; Resend for authentication email; Vercel for the public website; Google when you connect Google Drive; and OpenAI only when you approve a voice note for transcription. These providers process data only as needed to provide their part of the service and may process it in other countries.
Website and waitlist
When you join the beta, Plix stores your normalized email address, consent time, and acquisition source to manage invitations and product updates. We use cookie-free page analytics for aggregate website visits and do not send email addresses to analytics. Waitlist data remains until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or it is no longer needed for the beta.
Your choices
You can disconnect Google Drive without deleting delivered files. You can delete your Plix account from Settings, which immediately removes local Plix data and starts deletion of account records, credentials, and staged files. Some limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, tax, or legal compliance. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or waitlist removal by contacting us.
Security and changes
Plix uses private storage, encrypted connections, restricted credentials, and access controls appropriate to the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We may update this policy as Plix changes and will revise the date above when we do.
